Celestion Speakers...................
Celestion Truvox 1525e 300 Watt Raw Frame Speaker 8 Ohm, 15 inch
Are they any good. I can't find much in the way of reviews. I'm just looking for something to get off the ground with, then I will get super speakers down the road.

Bobby,
I know you are looking to get started on a shoe string budget but this is not the way to do it.
Building speakers is a lot more than just putting a set of drivers in a box and in the long run will probably cost you more than they are worth just to get them built. You will need high frequency drivers, crossovers, as well as the main drivers, then you get into building and tuning a box that will not rattle and has a good bass response. In all you will probably end up spending about $300 in each speaker by the time you get them completed, add in a minimum of about 60 hours of your time for each one as well.
For a starter system consider these items...

Any of these units will get you by as a starter setup and later after you get some money under your belt you can upgrade. While these are pretty close to the bottom of the line for each manu they are still better than the top of the line Behringer, Gemini, Nady, Kustom, Harbinger, etc. etc..

NO. I'm not building speakers. I am replacing the existing woofers. Same rating as the existing ones. Just swapping blown woofers for new ones. Everything else in them is fine.
